Surf Camp/Community Service Program
UrbanSurf4kids has established a surfing camp program for several foster homes in Miami,San Diego,and Baja Mexico (which include San Pasqual Academy (first-in-the-nation residential education campus designed specifically for foster teens),His House Children’s Home,Circle of Friends, Trinity Network,City of Refuge,Door of Faith,Purple Palace,and others). We provide a water based activity once a month and ask the youth in attendance to sign an agreement to provide 3 hours of community service of there choice. Our camps run 3 to 4 hours where we provide lessons,lunch,and games. This program encourages and teaches the value of giving back to our local community.
Orphanage Visit
We have established a program that visits three orphanages in the Baja Mexico Region (Door of Faith, City of Refuge, and Children of the Promise.) We bring needed supplies of food and other items of need as well as lunch and spend the day either surfing or playing some type of sporting game. These trip as amazing and always help us stay connected to the needs around us.
Career Day
This program is designed to bring speakers from various backgrounds of interest to the youth in our programs to provide insight on the steps necessary to pursue that occupation. The event has some incredible surprises in store to build the confidence of the youths involved!
UrbanSurf Co-op Store
UrbanSurf4kids is excited to announce our latest program. We are in the planning stages of opening a retail location, where kids will be able to come in and sign up for membership. Our store will be full of school supplies, event tickets, sign up for various events, and other items of interest to youth. We are creating a reward system to where they will be able to earn UrbanSurf monetary money to spend on the items in the store! This is projected for Fall of 2010!
